Minä ostin mun pojalle käytetty karting rungon joulu lahjaksi ja minä haluaisin tietää onko mahdollista laittaa tämä moottori:

Jos siihen saa oikenalaisen moottoripukin moottorin alle kiinni ja moottori mahtuu muuten mitoiltaan runkoon niin tietenkin saa.

Ei välttämättä kannata käyttää sääntöjen ulkopuolisia moottorityyppejä kartingautossa.
Todennäköisesti poikasi aika nopeasti haluaa "ajaa kilpaa" muiden samanikäisten kanssa ja tällainen ei ole täysin erilaisilla koneilla oikein mahdollista. On vaarana, että oppii vääränlaiseen ajotapaan tuollaisella 6,5 hp:n nelitahtisella.
Ja sitten jos harrastus jatkuu ja lähdetään kilpailemaan samanlaisella kalustolla kuin muut (säännöt), ollaankin pahasti hakoteillä.

Suosittelen käyttämään oikeaa kartingmoottoria.

I'm with the previous poster -- consider getting a "real" karting engine.  They're not necessarily much more expensive, if you buy used.  And you're much more likely to find help at the track (and karting shops) when (not if) you have engine problems.

How old is your son?  For example Raket 85 engines are not much more expensive than that, and you can get it with an engine mount that bolts directly onto the frame.  Sure, they're direct drive, but I'm not sure if the Motonet engine has a clutch either?

An easy option for a younger kid would be the Raket 60 "Cadet" engine.  It has a clutch and is quite easy to operate, and maintains its resale value really well. If you buy a used one, you will probably get your money back when selling it.

I believe there is clutch option for Raket85 engines. If no, probably you can use Raket120 clutch.

There is a clutch available for Raket85. It looks very very much the same as the clutch for Raket 120 but none of the parts are interchangeable. We have had both R85 and R120 with clutch and we used an external starter to start them.

I have at least one new clutch packet for 85 raket, only the needle bearing is missing..
